Kelly Mac Griffith won the California State Beauty Pageant two days before. Everything was going her way. All the study, the straight "A's", the dieting, the self discipline, her acting lessons, paid off. Driving her brand new, just won, Lincoln SUV she was on her way to meet the perfect man, Clark. After winning the pageant, like him, she had accomplished something. Her eyelashes needed just a touch up as she drove down the boulevard before she met Clark. 'Just a moment' as she concentrated in the rear view mirror, "There." She had not seen the light change and drove right into the intersection in the path of the oncoming truck. It ran right over her. Her car was only a foot tall and in it Kelly was still alive.
