RE: Blockchain Memory Project - Journal Entry (7) - Seeing The World With New Eyes
I can't believe that you got LASIK surgery today and are already writing about it. That gives me hope. My vision is significantly worse than yours so I can't get LASIK but I might be able to get something called PRK. I actually just bought a new pair of glasses today. I hate wearing glasses because they make me look, well, not my best.
It's really cool that you were able to get the surgery and already seem to be in great shape. I have a similar story to yours. When I was 5 years old I was given a pair of glasses for the first time and that's when I realized the world was full of individual objects.
Previously I had no idea. It was definitively eye opening.
It's truly amazing how quickly the eye heals. After that 4 hour nap my vision was a bit cloudy but corrected to 20/15. A friend of mine is doing PRK. I had to wear my glasses for a week prior to getting LASIK and I forgot how much peripheral vision you lose wearing glasses. OMG, @jeezzle, your eyes must've been really bad before they discovered you needed glasses. Your world probably looked like a surrealist painting before the corrective lenses.
