(Caripito) Bolivar Municipality of the Monagas State - Venezuela. A noble and charming town being its main capital Caripito and is located to the Northeast of the Monagas State between the coordinates 63 ° 01 'and 63 ° 13' of longitude West and 10 ° 05 'and 10 ° 13' of North latitude. People who gave me all my knowledge and my learning because I was born and raised in it. Caripito de mis amores, a town with a lot of history that is characterized by being a village trod by many families of different races and cultures. As: indigenous families (Chaima Indians, Warao), Spaniards (the Aragonese Capuchin friars) and American who bases the history of this town. Caripito was an oil town, in a country that entered the twentieth century on the map of the world as an oil country and with a geographical crossing between the plains, mountains, dirt roads, asphalted roads, rivers and mangrove swamps that transport to the Gulf of Paria. Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Caripito militates geographically in the North and in the East with the Sucre State, from the source of the San Miguel River, in the South with the Punceres Municipality, in the West with the Caripe Municipality. The population of Caripito with a lot of history, this population consists of very humble and sensitive people always already integrated by their type of geography, the art of fishing, hunting and taking advantage of soil fertility. Its main port of communication are those of its rivers to transport their shipments and export their products to other parts, which helps with the remarkable livelihood of the community. Each community preserves its gastronomic customs because the cuisine of Caripito is well known, giving its taste to be known by the Chinese occumo, cassava and the guacora soup that are already a symbol of my people. The custom of cultivation and its process was originated by the Indians, cultivate (cotton, coffee, and cocoa) without leaving behind the economic sustenance like: grazing livestock, weaving, building works of art and solidity. My people are recognized for being very believers of God and their main religion is the Catholic left by the Aragonese friars with the evangelization of the Indians, the monumental Holy Week is performed live with 51 years of faith and tradition, making the passion , life and death of our Lord Jesus Christ founded by Monsignor Rafael Peréz Madueño. With the advance of technology today We have a television station called Caripito TV and several radio stations, such as: dimension plus 99.9fm, caripiteña 98.5 fm and NTR 88.9 fm. Now I want to talk about the sport of Caripito that has always been known at regional, national and international level, the sporting activity is carried out in the times of the oil fields that were located in my town when the gringos were empowered of our oil, nowadays the sport is managed by the sports institute of Bolívar municipality and they have left athletes outside our borders leaving the town at the top like: Jesús Marcanos Trillo, Alexander Cabrera, nowadays Ildemaro Vargas all baseball players and major leagues among others Athlete who have played in my town and others who have failed. To conclude I wanted to leave you this short story of my people, whom I love so much and I love Caripito a people that refuses to die and I feel proud to live in it.
