Jane lived in the city of Jos from her childhood days until she was done with her secondary school. She was this beautiful lady that was loved by everyone in her neighborhood because of her goodly behaviour, hardworking nature and never took nonsense from the young men in the neighborhood where she lived.

Life became too tough after the death of her dad and being the first child among five children of her mum, She needed to engage herself in some work to assist her mum so as to help the schooling of her younger siblings. She got a job as a sales girl at a company within the city of Jos who were into the production of cement and other building materials.

Being a girl who was brought up in a godly way, she decided to be different in character and everything she did. She gained so much respect from her boss. The ladies so greatly envied her while the young men did every thing and means to get close to her but she easily chased the ones after her body and not friendship. But Mr Peter who headed the account department was determined in his heart to get Jane at all cost whatever it may be.

The financial pressure was much on Jane as her siblings advanced in their studies but from time to time, her mum always counselled her to be that girl of great standard and never to allow the financial pressure to make her bring her standard so low and engaging in things that will damage her future.

Jane couldn't resist the pressure any more seeing the huge amount that Mr Peter promised her for just one night. Reconsidering the words of her mum, she always rejected the offer of Mr Peter until she had to convince herself that after all it was just one night with him and that was all.

After that single night with Mr Peter, she hated herself for selling out her body for money instead of keeping herself till marriage. She never had any talk with Mr Peter after that night until she suspected some signs of pregnancy as she read in books. Being a novice who was afraid, told Peter of the outcome of that one night. Mr Peter told her to abort the baby or he will deny having an affair with her. Those words came as a shock through her veins and kept her motionless for few seconds as she listened to Mr Peter. She thought of the shame it will bring to her mum who always boasted of her and her colleagues who respected her so much. She decided to go with the option of abortion but it turned out bad that it resulted to bleeding for days and she was admitted in the hospital of the company where she worked. Her mum received the information and immediately bursted into tears as she headed to the hospital her daughter was admitted.

Jane, so all the while you pretended to be a good girl, her mum asked her daughter who was in tears on the hospital bed. Jane couldn't say any word to her mum who was in bitterness and sorrow of heart. Her mum's words pieced deep into her and she let out a cry.
