Dra. Lorraine Marie T. Badoy, "The money has to go where it ought to go"
Appointed by President Duterte as the new Assistant Secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development last february, Dra. Lorraine as she is widely known have been a long-time volunteer in the NGOs. As a very vocal supporter of the new president, and the changes he is trying to implement, she is also a prominent critic of the previous administration's corruption and the opposition's continous manipulation of the political scene.
Aside from her DSWD assignments and involvement, she is also presently auditing the Yolanda fund. In that, she have this to say,
There is enough money to improve the lives of Filipinos. Enough money to take a whole lot of them out of poverty and into dignified lives of free men and women. The only catch is that this money has to go where it ought to go. - Assistant Secretary Dra. Lorraine Marie T. Badoy, DSWD
Whose pocket or pockets it went to, Filipinos especially from the survivors of typhoon Haiyan are eagerly awaiting for the result.
