RE: Schteemut, The Kingdom of Games, a Parable of Liberty and Control
Wow, so many parallels to our world.
A good illustration of the consequences to be expected when interfering with a system that not only facilitates and promotes the greatest degree of individual liberty, but also entails the most efficient and fairest price discovery mechanism known to man--THE FREE MARKET, which sadly has not existed in our world for some time now, wherefore we find ourselves unwitting witness to degradation of global finance, the environment, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and basically anything else that could be good.
But at least the tiny group of people that can arbitrarily make rules for everyone else and then selectively enforce those rules using their monopoly on violence are saying it's better now and unemployment's even down to 5%! So...there's that...
Also if you give up your guns and let federal employees fondle your children before traveling, we'll be safer from terrorists.
So fear not, all's well in the kingdom! Huzzah! Long live the King! Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us, God save the King!
