Mika’el's Story
Grace and Peace to you all, this is My Story.
My name is Mika’el. My first real encounter with Elohim was in 1982 around the age of 9-10. I was adopted around three years earlier. Most of my time was spent alone (or so I thought then) in the basement. At this time, I was ready to end my life to make my family’s life better. At that time Elohim audibly confronted me asking me pointed questions about why I wanted to end my life. In the end I did not end my life. Elohim had intervened in the life of someone who did not know HIM. “Glory to His name.”
In 1992 my dreams of being a sailor were cut short; I was not what Uncle Sam wanted. I began a life of drinking and depression. Again, I was not alone although I did not know it. It seemed Elohim was calling to me … but the enemy also was seeking me. I was going from church to church trying to find Elohim. I attended the Mormon Church, Jehovah’s Witnesses and other denominations. All I could find was false religion.
In 2000 my life changed. I was invited to a prophecy with the Seventh-day Adventists. It was during this time I learned about the Sabbath and other essential Torah teachings. In 2009 I learned about the Festivals of Elohim. This was a hard time as most SDAs did not believe in celebrating the festivals. I did not attend church for some time except a Messianic Assembly. It was here that I was asked, “Do you know Yeshua”? I answered yes on an intellectual level, but I did not know Him as my friend.
In 2016 or 2017 I was brought back to the SDA church. Something was different. I was now put in touch with Adventist who kept the Feasts of Elohim, but this wasn’t the best part. While attending an SDA church in Durango, CO, I found a CD with a question written on it – “Are You Stressed Out”? I took the disk home and began learning what it meant to know Yeshua. I rededicated my life and was re-immersed. Since then, I have learned much about Elohim and His love for me.
The Holy Language Institute
In 2020 I found HLI. I watched a few videos at first, then got excited as Izzy taught Torah from a Hebrew perspective. I really enjoy his teachings … though I know Izzy is but a tool for Elohim. I want to learn Hebrew because the Hebrew translation is totally different from English translations. I want the pure word of Elohim … free of lies. I have a student Torah Scroll, and I look forward to reading it someday. I look forward to meeting you all in the future. I am seeking more to be with Elohim through His Son. I realize it is “by Him and through Him” that I have made it thus far on the journey. Elohim is showing me errors I have been taught and revealing truth now. Glory to His Name! I am praying for fellowship with like-minded believers.
Well, there it is.
Praise His Name!
