My short stories: Chapter 2 - The big day

This is the day that everybody was waiting for. All friends and relatives stood in front of the hall waiting for the bride to get down of the car. Everybody was happy and excited, but not more than her. Twenty six years was she waiting for this big day. To see her beloved daughter wearing the white wedding dress and standing next to her life partner. The one that she loved and chose to be with in the good and bad time.

Tears of happiness falling on her cheeks. Big pain in the stomach. All the memories showed up in front of her eyes like a movies, that she could not stop it of playing backward. A movie with a bad scenario that she wished to rewrite. Only in that moment could she realize the pain that her children have gone through all these years. When their father decided to divorce, she accepted the fact that nobody else than her has to take the responsibility for the children. Two boys and two girls. All of them have gone through every good and bad moment. Everyone of them chose to have a different personality and character. Desperately walking through a dark path trying to reach the unclear destination.
Living a randon life, Small dreams and limited chances made them look for every apportunity to come up in life.
Selfishness and desires played a big role and made them see life with different eyes. Right was wrong and wrong was right... Falling into sin and rejection.

It was easy for them to catch a fight and blame each other for any small reason. Lately she found herself just fixing whatever was left of what was named a family. Becoming a mother of four children in a young age wasn't that easy. Abandoned and lonely. Fighting lust and poverty. Lost herself in the responsibly and found herself aging before time.
All she could do is wishing her children to have everything that she couldnt have in her life. Fullfill their dreams and select different options, that werent available for her all these years.

It is her eldest daughters marriage who decided to get married in a very short time. Convincing them with her decision, that she was seeing as perfect. Telling them about love and dreams that were born with big desires of having a new life far away from everything that would remind her of their past and memories.

After all these years waiting to see the happiness that might not be completed. One of her children sacrificing herself in order to be a new person with a new life. Marrying someone just as a key to open the door that was very difficult for them to open with all the effort they gave all these years.
