Be Careful and Watchful::: My Story

Grace had just completed her university degree, she was posted to a place for her mandatory service to her country alongside other graduates. Although she did not like the place and cried but there was no going back because her posting letter was out. The day finally came as she embarked on a journey to a new place where she was going to stay for a year.

After 3 weeks in camp, she was posted to her place of primary assignment alongside other graduates, 2ladies and 1guy. Every place of primary assignment had an accommodation for their new intakes and since it was just two ladies, they decided to stay together. Both ladies did everything together, they were more like sisters.

Soon other graduates joined as they were also posted to that particular location, 2 other ladies also joined, making it total of 4. The new ladies changed Grace’s friend as she began to move with them neglecting Grace.

Something happened one day, Grace had just come back from a place she went to unknowing to her, they had planned to make her drunk by giving her an alcoholic drink. When Grace came back, her roommate said “Are you not going to take your drink” oh yes, I will, Grace said. She went to the bottle and poured her drink in a cup.

As she was about to drink, a friend of hers came in, she went out to greet him. Since everyone was drinking wine, Grace asked her roommate to give him some and her response was “he does not take something like this”, Grace thought of the statement, oh no! she ran to the bottle, lo and behold it was alcoholic, her roommate began laughing. God used her friend to save her.

Always be at alert and be careful, You can never tell.
