Welcome to the Steemit Story Chain

Good evening Steemers and Steemians I hope this post finds you well. It's time for another Steemit Story Chain where I ask you all to complete writing a story that I start. For the person that writes the most ambitious and original part of the story there are 100 Whaleshares to be won.

I would like to thank those who took part in the last story chain, particularly @folly-pandy, @solomonwise, @dhayor and @eaglespirit, you all wrote some great parts. After much deliberation I have now decided on a winner.

@eaglespirit

You wrote an intriguing story that was beautifully delivered. You write with an elegance that really makes your writing stand out. You also gave us an open ended conclusion to your part which was clever.

You have won 100 Whaleshares. Please reply with your Bitshares account information and I will send the Whaleshares to your account immediately. Enjoy! If you don't have an account don't worry it's very simple and completely free to set one up here - https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=akrid-1.

A reminder of the winning part is detailed below:

Part One.

Her name was Emine, and her mother told her it meant fearless or courageous, but her family called her "Em" for short. She was three years old but aware enough to understand that her mother dropped her off at the mean old lady's house every day. The old lady was darker in complexion, had two missing front teeth, and wore glasses so thick Em could hardly see her eyes. Her parents said the old lady was her grandmother. Em didn't like her grandmother, since she would force her to sit in a hard leather chair all day and never feed her.

The old lady would come by with a Hostess lemon fruit pie and slowly eat in front of her and drink a tall glass of cold milk. Em tasted the sweetness of the pie and feel the cold liquid as it ran down her throat, but all she could do was stare in hunger. When Em would try to sleep, that old lady would come around in her wheelchair, turn off all the lights, and turn on a flashlight. Grandma would shine the flashlight where the dolls were hauntingly placed ... and came alive ...

Now moving onto this week's story chain if you want to take part please make sure you upvote and resteem this post. Then all you have to do is use the comment box to develop the story in your own unique way. There is only one entry per person. Don't forget to number your part of the story. Be creative and original, write in whatever genre you wish. And have fun!

This contest is sponsored by Whaleshares and I owe a big thank you to @akrid and @officialfuzzy. There are 100 Whaleshares for the winning entry. If you would like to learn more about Whaleshares and how they can increase your post rewards please visit https://steemit.com/whaleshares/@eirik/guide-on-how-to-use-whaleshares-updated-version where @eirik will gladly explain more to you.

What I am looking for in order to determine the winning entry is as follows:

  • A strong sense of imagination
  • Creative intelligence
  • Originality
  • Narrative fluidity (ensuring the story chain links smoothly)
  • Use of language, grammar and syntax (we need to understand what you're saying!)

The winner will be announced in a week's time. A new post will be published then announcing the winner along with a new story chain.

Part One of The Inevitable Realisation

It's that moment isn't it? You've tried to not think about it too much, but there comes a time when you no longer have that luxury. You just have to look at it and ask yourself, what the fuck is going on? And then comes the inevitable bullshit. And then the utter disappointment of it all. And then the realisation that it can no longer continue. You have to do something. You can't be treated like shit another moment longer. You can't go to that party anymore. All the superficiality becomes too much and you have to tell the truth. And once you've got all that out of the way. Next comes the tricky part. But if you play it right, you get to have some fun. I'd better start loading my gun.

A secure note. No way to access that account now. 😢

Unfortunately if you can not access your account those Whaleshares will have been lost now. There is no way to recover them.

Congratulations to the winner

@moneyinfant has added your contest to the list Steemit Writing Contests: Issue #26. The list is updated on a daily basis and your contest will remain on the list until its expiration - there's nothing you need to do.

The list was created to save writers the excessive amount of time spent searching through the #contest tag for writing contests. Now they can just come to the list each day, see new contests and use their time doing what they love - writing.

If you'd like to help spread the word about the Steemit Writing Contest List I'd really appreciate a resteem, but it certainly isn't necessary. The project is simply meant to help writers save time and contest creators attract more contestants.

P.S. If you know of any contests I've missed I'd love to hear about them. Thanks!

Kebisaan dalam hidup orang semua mengetahui cerita yang baik dan bagus. Kadang mereka susah untuk menyampaikannya dan susah untuk menulis cerita tersebut.

Your contest was added to Steemit Contest Compilation (19.02-25.02): Win free SBD and STEEM
Thank you @freedomexists for giving Steemians a chance to win some Whaleshares.

Part Two.

Grandma would shine the flashlight where the dolls were hauntingly placed.. and came alive..

Em was three years old, but even she knew that wasn't supposed to happen. And even though she was told to be courageous and fearless, she always hid her head under the covers and tried to fall asleep as soon as possible so the dolls don't have time to get her.

The scenario would repeat itself again and again every time she went to her grandma. One day she mentioned scary dolls to her mother when they were taking about dropping her off at the grandma. Her mother froze. "Did you say dolls? Why does that sound familiar..". Emine's mother wouldn't remember it, at least not for the time being, but she grew up living the same nightmare.

Because you see, grandma had secret. It wasn't for the faint-hearted.
