'The Forgotten House' Story Chain Where You're the Storyteller and 100 Whaleshares for the Winner - Update

There's only a couple more days left to contribute to the story of 'The Forgotten House'. There is a winning prize of 100 Whaleshares for the Steemer who writes the best and most creative part of the story. Use your 100 shares to provide a generous boost to any one of your posts, currently woth around $21.

We've already had seven contributors to the story chain and they have all continued and developed the story in their own unique way. It has been great to see the wide variety of content, and the levels to which your imaginations have reached. Thank you to all have contributed so far.

With only two days remaining it's not too late to show off some creative flare and write your part of the story. A sentence, a couple of sentences or a short paragraph, it's entirely up to you.

I along with the immeasurably impressive @bluskieson-mars will be judging the winning part of the story. Here's a reminder of what we're looking for:

• Narrative fluidity (ensuring the story chain links smoothly)

I remember waking up and the first thing that hit me was the rich smell of old timber. I was perched on a very old chair that was just managing to do its job. In front of me a very large and dusty wooden table. The table was set for seven places, but there was no one around. Dust everywhere. This table had not been used in years. The whole room was covered in cobwebs. All of the windows were either cracked or smashed. This house had been abandoned. I stood up, a little wobbly. I peered out of the window, I was met with field after field. Where was I? How on earth did I get here? I looked to my left and there was that face, staring right at me.
