@dswigle, I'll have to say it's loosely based on a couple of things that really happened, and one in particular. I've always loved writing romantic poems, and this is really my first try at a romantic story.

I have to say that the prompts given for the contest helped me mold the story, and they were great prompts for putting the story together, indeed!

I used 4 of the 5 prompts for the contest. We could include just 1 or up to all 5, so the story actually has a lot to do with the prompts. I'm glad you found it to be beautiful! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments, and for the tip!
