The lovebirds live in a very beautiful estate and neighbours admired them whenever they were together but neighbours didn't like Mrs Michael's lifestyle.

They saw her as a promiscuous wife because when her husband travel's she becomes a different woman entirely.
She was so fond of bringing in other men in her husbands absence.

Times without number elderly women in the estate cautioned her on her way of life.

"You should not be doing this, your husbands utmost desire is to keep you happy, he loves you".

"Mrs Michael, please my dear stop bringing in strange men you are young, beautiful and vibrant yes we know this but your husband is a unique man, he loves you more than anything".

They all knew Mr Michael cherished her.
He loves his Angel Mrs Michael like his life depends on her.
Neighbors were proud of the manner of love he had for his wife.

Mr Michael, can be described as a decent, cheerful, hardworking and resilient young man.

He had a good record with neighbors because he lived a life worthy of emulation.

Mr Michael is also known to have a large heart, he visits the orphanage home with his beloved wife before the end of each month.

His almost perfect nature was on the lips of so many.

Sadly, Mr Michael was never aware of his wife's promiscuous lifestyle.

Doctor Damian is the son to one of Mr Michael's neighbour. A very smart and great Medical Doctor.

Mr Michael and his wife visits his hospital whenever a health challenge arises.
Though Mr Michael rarely falls ill, Doctor Damian was their family Doctor.

Mrs Michael visits the clinic more often than her husband from neighbors observation.
Many wondered what the problem was, well she looked so healthy, beautiful and had an amazing figure.

So they assumed she wasn't really sick but visits the hospital for normal check up's.

Only Doctor Damian could know the exact reason and purpose of her regular visits to the clinic they thought.

Mr Michael wasn't too busy to be with his wife whenever he returned from his business trips.

Mrs Michael wasn't playing a good role as a wife in his absence, she was more excited when he was away of the country.

"This was a very sad one why would she treat her husband in such an unfair manner".

She wasn't ready to listen to the words of wisdom the elderly women in the estate gave her.

Mrs Michael brought her secret lovers to Mr Michael's home in his absence.

Mrs Michael had a double sided personality.

A saint when her husband was home. And when away of the country for business purpose becomes promiscuous.

Mr Michael after a while started loosing so much weight, everyone thought the reason could be stress from work.

Neighbours advised him to visit Dr Damian's hospital for proper medical care but Mr Michael didn't see his weight loss as a serious problem instead he took measures to cut down the level of stress mounted upon him at work.
Travelled less and rested more.

This was a good idea that he was taking some time off to rest and reduce his work load.

It happened that one of the neighbors daughters was a Pharmacist and began her internship program in Dr Damian's hospital.

She is fondly called Pharm Annabel.

Every month there was a rotation for Pharmacist on intern to various department's or units in the hospital.

She was to be in the Anti retroviral (ARV) unit the following month so she prepared herself and read more on everything concerning HIV/AIDs, the pharmacology aspect of the various classes of anti retroviral drugs, etc.

The smart looking Pharmacist got set for work and on getting to the hospital, Pharm Annabel met with a number of HIV patients.

The crowd in this department was so much, it was a bee hive. It was going to be a very hectic department.

As she counselled patient's that came in with their folder's and other's who had the need to refill their anti retroviral medications she spotted Mrs Michael in the waiting room and was wondering what she could be doing in the anti-retroviral department waiting room.

Pharm Annabel said to herself,

"She doesn't have a folder with her. I suspect she came with a friend or could it be she is here for a test? what could she be doing here?.

After a while Mrs Michael walked straight to the table of Pharm Annabel, she was offered a sit.

It was as though Mrs Michael didn't find her face familiar.

Pharm Annabel paused for a while because she knows Mrs Michael as a neighbor and was expecting some familiarity but received no sign.

She went ahead to give her patient a warm smile and went through Mrs Michael folder, Pharm Annabel went cold.......

Oh my word! Mrs Michael has had HIV for almost a year now and has been coming to the hospital for a refill of her anti retroviral medications, her viral load from her previous test showed a good reduction in her viral load.

Pharm Annabel took her time to ask her some questions and further counselled her.

-She asked do you know when you got infected?
And have you been having protected sex with your husband knowing you have the virus?

Has he been coming for his anti retroviral drugs as well or possibly taking his medications at home to reduce his viral load?

-The Pharmacist received a NO for an answer.
Mrs Michael further said my husband is not even aware I'm HIV positive.

Pharm Annabel got so perturbed and asked her if she's aware her husbands immune system would become compromised by the virus, and would not be a good one if the HIV results to HIV/AIDS?

She said softly to Mrs Michael that you might loose your husband if he doesn't start his treatment on time, for how long have you kept this a secret from him Mrs Michael?

She responds, "we have been married for two years, I got infected by another man a year after my marriage".

Pharm Annabel advised Mrs Michael on the need to confide in her husband about her HIV status.

She went ahead to ask her if she had multiple sexual partner's aside her husband and she gave her a warm smile and nodded yes.

Pharm Annabel took her time to counsel her on the need to prevent spreading the virus since she's treating herself already and could live long as long as she continues her treatment to manage her condition, other victims should receive the free treatment the hospital is giving as well.

All drugs in the HIV unit were given out for free to enable everyone get proper treatment for quite a longtime.

What could be the problem with Mrs Michael spreading the virus to her husband and secret lover's, why would she do this?

There and then after the counseling exercise by Pharm Annabel she introduced herself properly as her neighbor.

She said to Mrs Annabel

"I'm surprised you don't recognise my face guess it's been a while because I've been away in Pharmacy school and here I am as an intern Pharmacist in Dr Damians' hospital".

Mrs Michael was shocked and screamed out holding her head, she began to sweat profusely.

Pharm Annabel calmed her down and said to her your husband must not die because your scared to tell him you have the virus.

Give him the chance to live healthy, you can see his current status.
He is rapidly loosing so much weight the virus must be multiplying without him knowing he is a HIV carrier.

I would help you talk to him and give him all the medical support he need's.

Pharm Annabel asked if she has ever met or talked to Dr Damian about her HIV status, she said no.
Sadly Dr Damian wasn't aware.

Pharm Annabel confided in Mrs Michael that no other person would know about this, she wouldn't tell the neighbors or even her parent's but they needed to go home and tell her husband about this development.

Mrs Michael refused this idea, she was so reluctant and kept sobbing, but she had no choice it was time for her husband to know the entire truth, his wife wasn't only promiscuous but had HIV and there is a 100% possibility that Mr Michael was infected with the Virus.

On getting to her home, Mr Michael was looking weak and sick.

Pharm Annabel walked into the sitting room with his wife.
Mrs Michael went straight to her bedroom.

Pharm Annabel sat down with Mr Michael and asked how he was feeling, and if he had found time to visit the hospital for a general check up but he answered no.

Pharm Annabel told him there is a need to run some test on him so he knows what the matter with him was.

Lucky enough Mr Michael accepted and a HIV test and other series of test was carried out in the Lab in Dr Damian's hospital.

After some days his results were out and unfortunately he had a very high viral load and was HIV positive.
He was anticipating a good news that nothing was found but Pharm Annabel handed over his results to him and analysed certain thing's the lab result's read.

I'm sad the result says, you are infected with HIV.
Reality dawned on him that he was HIV positive he cried out and asked Pharm Annabel to conduct a quick HIV test on his wife he is scared to death that she might have HIV as well, what are we going to do?

Pharm Annabel cried and said to herself, left for Mr Michael he cares so much for his wife not knowing his wife has had the virus for almost a year from the data in her folder.

Mr Michael had to know the truth about certain things, hence Pharm Annabel insisted that he calls out to his wife that instant he needs to hear a confession from Mrs Michael.

Mr Michael got so worried, the news of him having HIV was enough shock for him, his so scared his wife is infected and now Pharm Annabel is talking about a confession from his wife why is life unfair at this point tears ran through his eye's, he fell to the ground trembling, Pharm Annabel rushed to him and told him to get a hold of himself.

She used that time to say lot's of encouraging words to him.
She said,

"If your scared and worried about your HIV status you shouldn't be. What you should care about is ensuring that when the first line of treatment is given to you, you should take your drugs as prescribed. Skipping or dumping your drugs out of frustration could be to your detriment.

Many with HIV virus have survived and are living good and looking so healthy because they hearkened unto all counsels given to them you must do the same Sir.

You have to prevent sharing sharp objects, having unprotected sex, limit the number of sexual partner's you've if you do have any.

That moment she said this, Mr Michael cried out...but I've never had anything to do with any other woman besides my wife.

I definitely didn't get this virus from sexual intercourse with another female partner.

How then did I get infected with this stigma?

He paused for a minute with a confused face and said "I neither can't remember when last I visited the hospital so no unsterilized needle must have pierced his skin, I neither inject drugs nor share clippers from a barbing saloon I have got a personal clipper Pharm".

He became even more sorrowful at this point, he screamed and was bathed in tears.

"How then did I get this virus? He resounded."

His wife couldn't hide herself anymore she walked towards her husband and cried out that she's so sorry.
It was all like a dream to Mr Michael but then his beloved wife said she had a confession to make.

Mr Michael held on to his wife and told her she had no idea what was going on she shouldn't cry.

Please my lover do not cry......

But she insisted that he hears her out......

She spoke in tears I'm sorry for all I caused you.... I'm the reason your in this mess, the neighbors spoke to me times without number on my pattern of life whenever you were away on a business trip

Do you remember my ex? John the Engineer I was dating before he left me because I never offered him sex and I got married to you as a virgin?
Much later after our marriage, John returned after so many months and kept bugging me.
I couldn't tell him to stop, he became more like a pest and I gave into him we had unprotected sex just once and then after everything he laughed at me Michael, he said he had what he wanted at least I've the virus now.

I was so ashamed of myself.

It didn't occur to me to rush to the hospital to get a pre-exposure prophylaxis for 28days.

I was still depressed for some days when you were away and when it dawned on me to check my HIV status results came out positive.

I couldn't stand you Michael...
I couldn't face the fact that I cheated on you and could not stop cheating...
I felt bad towards all men including you.

While I treated myself I kept spreading it to everyone that cared to have a taste of me.
I'm deeply sorry...

Michael couldn't believe all this, he knelt down to his wife and asked if this was a joke but she couldn't utter word's anymore.

He felt stabbed and broken. His countenance changed as though his world was over.

"I don't deserve this, I treated you better than I treated anyone else, you were my life, you were the hope of my future, I could do anything perfectly well knowing that I got you but here we are now, I'm at a loss.

This is impossible what do I do he tried to hold back his tears".

Pharm Annabel was almost at a loss but she had to give this couples hope for a better future.

She consoled them until the room was calm.

Mrs Michael you did the wrong thing but everything is in the past I believe, Mr Michael you need to find a place in your heart to forgive your dear wife.
You both could visit the hospital anytime for proper counsel and treatment.

I would do everything within my power to give you two proper pharmaceutical care and do you know it gets to a point that your viral load becomes undetectable because of adhering to your medications.

You two can remain a happy couple again trust me and please do this for me and not just me for the love you share. Mr Michael looked at his wife, picked her up.

Trust Mr Michael he loves his wife so much and wouldn't want to loose her. He held unto his wife's hands and said, >"I got you and I forgive you, my world revolves around you". We're gonna make this work, you're gonna turn over a new leaf for us and our reputation.

It's a year after that incident and I can tell you Mr and Mrs Michael are looking better than they did a year ago, I love this couple.
