Honoring the Prosecutor of Science

Another story once told by Abuya Sayyid Muhammad bin Alwi Al-Maliki in his ta'lim is about a person who is doomed for mocking the claimant of knowledge. At that time Abuya was discussing a Hadith that says, "No one goes out of his house for the sake of studying, unless the angels will spread their wings for them, because no angels are pleased with what they do." Abuya then continued his story of a science prosecutor in the land of Egypt, where he was always present on time to attend the assembly of teachers, one time he was late for having to help his parents at home.

As he ran to pursue his master's assembly so as not to be too late, someone suddenly called him while saying:

"Do not run like that, just slowly.You can damage your angel's wings."

The intention of the person said so is to mock the Hadith of Prophet Shollallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam above. Regardless of the nonsense, the student continued his run until he arrived at his teacher's council.

After a few days the news that people who mocked the Hadith became unable to sleep. Every time he tried to close his eyes, every one of them in his ears came the sound of the big, violent wings of a bird, which only he heard. Due to the broken break pattern, the person finally dies in a pathetic state.

Furthermore Abuya gave a discourse to always honor and glorify the Hadith of the Prophet Shollallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam also the claimant of knowledge.
