Diligence is not an option for the one who dreams

Permit me to cut in on my series with this short piece on the need for due diligence in everything we do.

What is due diligence?
This is defined by Wikipedia as "reasonable steps taken by a person to avoid committing a tort or offence. ".
As a medical scientist, I would say due diligence is the act of making sure that every bit of the procedure is followed to detail in efforts to come out with the true diagnoses to a patient's condition.

You could also define it differently with regards to your line of work but the bottom line is that, we need to take this seriously...They say no man is perfect but that does not mean we should not strive to be at our very best in everything that we do....

I will back this with a short funny story:

There was this college student who was deeply in love with his classmate but he didn’t know what to do to get the girl’s attention. He tried all the non-verbal cues but nothing was working.

One day, he decided that enough was enough and came to ask the girl for help with his assignments and the girl agreed. He had the chance to have the girl explain things for hours and he was so happy he had such a time with her.

The next day, with delight he came to sit next to the girl and took out a book pretending to read.

After a little while, the girl commented: “You must be a genius." He could not believe why he was getting such a complement from his crush. He smiled loudly and replied "Oh, thank you" he paused for while then asked "but what made you say that?"
The lady smiled back and replied with a question " How can you read a book upside down?”

Well, as you laugh, consider that if only the guy had done a bit of due diligence in his pursuit to deceive the girl he might have saved himself the embarrassment.

Even though the scenario from the story may just win a few gags, in real life situations working without the right attention level can fatal.
I work in a field that a small mistake of mine in reporting a result can make physicians give insulin (protein that reduces blood sugar levels) to a hypoglycemic (a person with low blood sugar level) patient which will more likely lead to death.....

I'm sure it might be worse in your line of work which mean we cannot over stress the need for due diligence in everything that we do.......

Don't only write "attention to detail" in your resume, try to really pay attention to detail and you will be saving so much atrocities...

Thanks for your attention and see you at the very top!

😂 😂 😂........ He read the book upside down......... Could that not be a tactic from him to make sure the girl started a conversation since he couldn't start one? Just thinking though.
I'll go with the section of this write-up about writing and actually paying attention to detail. We can actually write and/or wish all we want but actually executing that that has been written or wished is the real deal.
We'll meet at the very top...... #cheers

hahahaha, That could have been a tactic coming to think of it!
