...and then there was: MUSIC FRIENDS and LOTS of FUN
Yesterday I was writing about my upcoming burn-out (interested? check here) while this morning I was feeling it was sounding maybe a bit negative. Although I really felt this negative feelings building up last weeks, this morning I woke up with a - seemingly - a complete fresh attitude, not only towards the job I need to finish by the end of week in which so many things still to be done; But to anything else as well. I suppose somehow I was able to find the mode of positivity again. Whether it be the angels turning the knob, my Steem article of yesterday, or the music I've been listening to yesterday evening. I feel alive! I don't see problems! I'm on top of solving issues and deciding on solutions to problems! Whole day long already and somehow this drove me also to write this article to share with you some great set from an artist I was able to hear in real live days after X-Mas.

Before continue reading my story about the event itself, I urge you to hit the play button below. A recording of maybe the greatest artist in the electronic scene of today; A super musical guy who takes more and more the approach to show the listeners and dancers what music really is; Maybe even teaching the listeners. His works and sets are always - and I main always - out of the ordinary; Sometimes even a bit hard to follow, but always in harmony!
In case you know me; You may already have guessed the artist. When not, read further :)
Story
Towards the Venue
Well, the story is just a story of how I had major problems to get myself away from all the work I was doing - and still had to do - and what came after that. Friday after X-Mas, I was supposed to go to this party; Not just a party; The 50th birthday party of a dear friend. Setting: Some new event location, in some old building, in an industrial area of Amsterdam "Lofi". No energy to go though and somehow it was difficult to move my mind off work. After contemplating for more than a few hours, a little rest and sleep, I almost literally kicked myself towards the shower, got myself decent, and moved my ass over to Lofi. I could not miss out on my friends own party! Could I?
Entrance
Still tired and all, not really happy, I found myself starting to smile when coming close to the venue. Always a good sign and certainly the sign telling me I was right to kick my own butt to get out of my house to this party... Boy, what was I happy when I came to the venue. First of all, the entrance was super smooth: Guest list was arranged; No checkups by bouncers was needed; Some of my Friends where waiting already and serving my first drink the moment I stepped inside; While the birthday boy was already playing and bringing some great music towards and into my ears! Now, this is not the guy of the music recording above; Maybe I should've shared some of his music with you, but will do some other time. He's a GREAT artist as well BTW! Anyway, to not spend to many words on telling my story, I can simply say: A better entrance one can't imagine!
Party
Throughout the whole night, the music was sooooo good! Can't - well, I don't want too - really say a lot about it; Simply my kind of music; Warm Techno with Disco-ish 80's elements by the birthday boy with the Minimal and somewhat experimental stuff of the other guy, Ricardo (similar to what you are listening to right now... when not, press the play button above! Do it! smiley smiley). Adding to the great night was the atmosphere of the club and the crowd in it. Simply cool! And adding to all of that where the sooooo many people I know from so many parties I've been to in the last few decades. Many of them I didn't see, spoke with, danced and had fun with last so many years. This was the icing on the cake to be honest! Result: I stayed till closing...even a bit longer than the closing so that the guards had to show verbal force to get myself out of their 'house'... fortunately I was not the only one :)
End Result
Super happy edje! WOW, it felt so good at that point during and right after the party! I was tired though, so I didn't make it to the after in the Amsterdam Tower. But whatever, 2020 just started!
NJOY the MUSIC
QUESTION: Do you know the artist name? I gave a little clue in the article above; Other clues are easy to find.

Sounds great! Glad I'm not the only one that has to kick myself out the door :)
Hahaha, your are in good company :) Strange, isn't? We dont want to get out the door, but when we are at the destination, we very much like it (assuming you have the same as I)... And still knowing this, it doesnt make it easier next time to get out the door... Brains are strange!
