Las brumas vagaban por la ciudad sabiéndose dueñas de la noche y otorgando un fino velo de humedad a aquello a lo que acariciaban. La azulada llama de aquella farola parpadeaba al son y con la misma gracilidad con que las brumas se arremolinaban.
The mists roamed the city owning the night and providing a thin veil of caressing moisture. The blue streetlight was flickering at the same time and with the same gracefulness as the swirling mists.
Pero la cerrada noche invitaba a los honrados habitantes de aquella emblemática ciudad a guarecerse bajo techo, a la vera de una buena lumbre, tanto o más reconfortados por la seguridad del rudimentario cerrojo recientemente instalado en la puerta, como por el calor del hogar.
But the dark night invited the honored people of that iconic city to take refuge indoors, besides a good fire, even more comforted by the rudimentary safety lock installed on the door recently,than for the warmth of home.
El religioso silencio fue apenas interrumpido por un lejano resonar de cascos de caballo arrastrando un carro que en cuestión de segundos le devolvió de nuevo el protagonismo. Los roedores se escabullían entre recovecos de las paredes tras surcar fugazmente el expuesto suelo empedrado.
The religious silence was only interrupted by a distant echo of hooves dragging a cart, and in few seconds they returned again the silence spotlight. Rodents scurrying between walls' recesses after fleetingly cross the exposed stone floor.
Y ahí dónde la tenue luz de la farola no alcanzaba a iluminar la oscuridad de aquel callejón, se erigía un monumento a la crueldad y al sadismo, con forma humana y envuelto en una negra capa que daba, como único síntoma de vida, un repetitivo pestañeo.
And where the dim lamplight was not enough to illuminate the darkness of the alley, a monument to cruelty and sadism with human form there was standing wrapped in a black cloak and giving, as the only symptom of life, a repetitive blinking.
Su presa, que tendría el honor de ejercer un papel protagonista en su oda a la violencia, no tardaría en aparecer.
His prey, which would have the honor to play a leading role in his ode to violence, would soon appear.

La excitación aceleró el corazón de aquella criatura cuando unos pasos comenzaban a acercarse hacia aquella ubicación para finalmente pararse a tan sólo unos metros de su fatídico destino.
The excitement quickened the heart of the creature when steps began to get close to that location to finally stop, just a few meters from its fateful destination.
La mujer, ataviada con un sucio vestido encendió un fino cigarrillo que, junto a adoptar una pose relajada contra el muro, le ayudarían a la espera de algún hombre en busca de su reconfortante y húmedo calor a precio de peniques.
The woman, dressed in a dirty thin dress, lit a cigarette next to adopt a relaxed pose against the wall, wich would help waiting for a man, in search of his comforting and moist heat at a price of pennies.
La sombra no tardó en acercarse silenciosa y propinar por sorpresa un golpe en su vientre que le dificultara a la víctima gritar por la falta de aire y que le facilitara a él posicionar sus manos alrededor de su cuello sin gritos de terrorífica sorpresa en primera instancia.
The silent shadow soon approached and hit her by surprise in the belly, wich would hinder the victim screaming about the lack of air and it will provide to him to position his hands around her neck without a terrified first instance screaming surprise.
La tiró al suelo y estrangulándola con la fuerza adecuada para no hundirle la tráquea se resarcía al ver aquel brillo de puro pánico en los ojos de la víctima. Cejó levemente en la presión de sus manos sobre su cuello ya que lo mejor estaba por llegar y la quería consciente.
He threw her to the ground and strangling her with adequate strength to not plunge the trachea, he was recouping to see that gleam of pure panic in the victim's eyes. He relent slightly in the pressure of his hands on her neck because the best was yet to coming and he wanted her conscious.
Mientras sacaba el instrumental de su capa la mujer intentó emitir un grito que resultó en un mueca ahogada por otro certero puntapié al abdomen.
As he pulled his cloak instrumentation, the woman tried to scream wich was resulted in a drowned grimace by the power of another accurate kick to the abdomen.
Contemplar sus negros ojos reflejados en la hoja del frío metal era parte de su ritual.
To contemplate his black eyes reflecteds in the cold metal sheet was an important part of his ritual.

De rodillas y con una mano volviendo a presionar su tráquea, alzó el metal acompañado de una sonrisa y hundiéndolo en un lateral del abdomen de la víctima, comenzó con un movimiento sesgado a dejar las vísceras al aire.
Kneeling with one hand pressing her windpipe, lifted the metal with a smile on his face and sinking on one side of the abdomen of the victim, began with a zigzag cutting movement to eviscerate her.
Notaba la cálida sangre manando y empapando sus muñecas y sólo un grito de dolor jamás experimentado y de sufrimiento agónico, consiguieron apartarlo de aquel gozo que lo inundaba.
He could feel the warm blood seeping and soaking his wrists and only a cry of a never experienced pain and agonizing suffering, got it out of that joy that was flooding him.
Con enojo, y con un tajo que llegó hasta las cervicales de la víctima como prueba de ello, rebanó el cuello que comenzó a emitir estertores y que a él le parecían música.
Angrily, and with a gash that reached the cervicals of the victim as proof, he sliced the neck, that began broadcasting crackles that seemed music to him.
Con premura y antes de que la víctima perdiera del todo el conocimiento, metió la mano en su interior y comenzó a sacar los gelatinosos intestinos, esparciéndolos a lo largo de sus piernas.
With haste before the victim lose consciousness, he reached inside her belly and began to remove the gelatinous intestines, spreading them along her legs.
La música cesó y relamiendo uno de sus dedos se incorporó admirando su obra; guardó el instrumental en su capa y con una última mirada de anhelo se alejó, desapareciendo en las brumas.
The music stopped and licking one of his fingers, got up admiring his work; he packed away the instrumental in his cloak and with one last look of longing, disappeared into the mists.
