Charmed: Gtg, I was actually looking for my colleague, onionfillet. I can't seem to find her anywhere and I know she hangs out here. Gotta go look elsewhere.

Charming: I'll let her know she's being hunted if I see her. Come back here anytime.

Charmed: I surely will!

Charmed signs off.

Amelie sighed, realizing that she won't be able to get help from Therese, aka onionfillet. She's actually on a well-deserved week-long vacation, the poor girl has been working her socks off the past 3 years. She was actually quite happy her friend has taken some time off, as some days Amelie is a bit worried Therese might just literally pass out from exhaustion. The girl is the definition of hardworking.

Having said this, it is quite telling how bad the current situation is with the event today.

Running a small event organizing business and have built quite a reputation for their impeccable yet affordable work, the ladies have a nearly-perfect record. Three years running, the only time they had an unsuccessful event was on their first year, and to no fault of theirs. All because one person did not come on the event.

It was the bride actually, for she decided to be absent on her wedding day.

Amelie still considers their record unblemished, as on the technical side, everything would have been perfect that day.

So it is unsettling to be facing chaos today.

Tomorrow is the 18th birthday celebration of one of the only daughter of the town's most loved family- the Jens. Everything was perfect until yesterday, then the series of unfortunate events happened.

Their usual florist had their airconditioning unit malfunction Friday night, and they were greeted today by wilted flowers. The shop owner is looking ay viable alternatives at the moment, reaching out to their contacts, wnating to keep their commitment as well.

The five-layer baby pink fondant cake for the debutant had been knocked off the table when one of the baker's assistant slipped on the floor. They are hustling to see recreate the cake that took them 3 full days to make.

The band has called as well, their lead vocalist and their guitarist eloped. Today of all days.

All the regular bands they book are unfortunately occupied, and Amelie is pulling her hair out trying to find good, last minute replacement.

Online, she found a chat server for local musicians. She logged in again on her chat app, and went to look for available artists.

The day is finally turning out for the better, as she found exactly what she needed.

And the good news kept coming after. The flowers had been sourced, the cake made.

And they had another perfect event the next day.

Amelie heard the usual beep of an incoming message, and was surprised to see it was from Charming.

Charming: Hey, onnionfillet dropped by, did you get to speak with her?

Charmed: Thanks for letting me know, yeah we were able to talk, all sorted now.

Charming: I did pass on the message. And told her too that you came lookibg for her and found me instead.

Charmed: Haha. Do you say this to all ladies you encounter?

Charming: Nah, only to those coming in already charmed.

That was the start of an online relationship.

Amelie later learned that Charming, or Leo, has sworn off love at some point because of a devastating heartbreak. She also learned that he is smart, kind, witty and is always fun to talk with. They hit it off instantly, as they have similar sense of humor. Leo likes hearing all about Amelie's stories, and she have plenty to tell.

They have been messaging regularly, phone calls everyday too. One can say each had been a permanent fixture in each other's life.

This has been going on for a couple of months when finally at 3am one day...

Charming: Honey, how was the concert? All done?

Charmed: Yes hon, we're almost done packing up, I'll be heading home after.

Charming: I hope you still have the time for a cup of coffee?

Charmed: Oh I'm actually thinking of having one for takeaway before I head home.

Amelie then heard a voice from behind.

Leo: Would you consider enjoying a cup with me instead?

Amelie gasped. It was a pleasant surprise to be sharing this moment with the love of her life.

They did get coffee, and Amelie was blushing the whole time, as Leo can't seem to take his eyes off of her. It was glorious to know that their level of comfortability with their online interraction is the same as in person.

Amelie kept feeling though that she has seen Leo somewhere. And then it hit her.

Leo was the groom, whose bride never showed up. The recognition must have been all over her face as Leo gave her a sad smile.

Leo: I knew sooner or later you'd make the connection. Since I wasn't much involved in the planning, I sort of expected that you may not remember straight away.

Amelie: How is she?

Leo: I honestly don't know. I've made peace with the past. Honestly, I haven't been dating long yet, I mean after the incident. I didn't want to be unfair, coming in a relationship while I was broken. I let myself go through the process. I allowed myself to feel the pain... the sadness... thr grief of losing someone. I helped myself overcome this after- by doing lots of new things. I allowed time to do it's magic. I'vr moved on.

I guess everything really does happen for a reason. Afterall, the universe led me to you.

Hands held, the couple smiled contently.
