I am the proud property of a rescue pug. I am not sure who rescued whom but this little fella has brought a lot of joy to our home. Fast Eddie was raised from eight months old by my golden retriever. He has some lovely golden traits one of which is demonstrated in this picture as he greets me with a toy in his mouth. He also points like a retriever.

When my golden passed this spring, this little guy slept by the portrait I painted of her. He has the companionship during the day of my green cheeked conure but nothing compares to the love he had for Sheena.

He is called Fast Eddie because he looks like a little gangster and because if he gets out, he runs like a pinball zigzagging at high speeds. Shortly after I rescued him, he was out with my golden on the two acres of property I owned and he apparently had a run in with a racoon in my tractor shed. I whistled loud for the dogs and the retriever made it to the door first. A few minutes later, the pug crossed my kitchen floor and the blood started spurting in every direction. I was horrified but quickly bound him in towels and made my way to the nearest vet. Several stitches later, his legs shredded from the raccoons claws and his belly raw from being dragged across icy snow, Fast Eddie was alive because he managed to escape when I whistled and he was obviously quicker than the cornered raccoon.
He has endeared himself to all the family but there is one boy in particular who is Fast Eddie's boy.
