Dear Steemians,

There are five critical moments or stages in the life of a man, but not all men never have the opportunity of going through all the stages before the final stage sets in.

These critical moments are: childhood, youth (adolescent), adulthood (manhood and womanhood), old age, and death.
Those who die in their youth often leave a perpetual sorrow and bereavement in the hearts of their parents whom they have left behind.

A women lost her first in the last year of his high school education. Her husband had been out of work for three years. She told me that in spite of attempt to avoid sorrow, she did not succeed in holding back the tears every day. Now she no longer read. There have been those who did not go beyond adulthood. Those who reach old age of eighty or ninety or more years. Those who reach old age do so by a special grace and blessing of God. Others in this reading audience have passed through the first four critical stages in a man’s life, and are only awaiting the final stage-death. Its coming is always unannounced. Many in this reading audience are enjoying the golden morn of youth, and still greater number are enjoying the carefree time of childhood.

But how have you live the past period of your life, and how are you living the present period of your life? How would you live the remaining of your days of your life? Are you willing to leave your footprints on the sand of time by the good things you do or would you wish that they were wiped off because their record would be a shame to you? Those who went to prison or were publicly disgraced never wish to be reminded of their past, either in childhood or in youth or in manhood. So, parents should help children to lay the groundwork for a good history of which they would not be ashamed –not as liars, thieves or vandals.
Some who are ashamed of their past would want bygone to be bygone. But unless that past is repented of and forgiveness sought for it, it remains. Is there something good that you are either doing now or have done in the past that you can point to as something done for others? The memory of our past goodness is something worth recalling. If reminded of it flood of light fills our minds.

The theme for each period of life should be: ‘Life lived for God and fellow Men’s and not the reward of your own. The life of each us is marching slowly to its end. Can prayer hold it back? Well!!! If you are lucky.

Thanks for stopping by on my post.
