Ollie's Revenge.

in #story6 years ago

Sarah was desperate, she hastily packed a small bag, picked up her passport, wallet and phone. The landline rang as she picked up the bag. Fear gripped her as she heard the sound of the phone. The look on her face was like that of a deer caught in the headlights of a car at night on the highway.

She ran out of the room as though chased by something fierce and indeed she was. She dialled a number as she ran.

"Billy...Billy...run fast, run far! He has found us. Warn the others...he is alive and he is going to kill us all." She finished with a wail.
Tears rolled down her cheek as she cut the call. Billy was incoherent, besides, she had no patience for his reassurance. She had to leave town. She threw the phone into the trash can. Greed had led her to betray him and it seemed the same greed would bring her death.

Sunlight blinded her as soon as she stepped out to the street. She looked right and left and when all seemed normal, she walked at a leisurely pace to her car, striving to act normal. Another cursory gaze about her assured her of safety.

She entered the car and bolted it from inside. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes and whispered a prayer of thanks.

Lifting her gaze to the road ahead, the sight that greeted her made her almost faint in fright. He was smiling at her, that angelic smile which concealed a wicked heart that delighted in evil.

"Ohmygoodness! Ohmygoodness!" She kept saying over and over as she turned the key and darkness embraced her.

Ollie smiled in satisfaction as he watched her burn. Her parts scattered, never to be recovered.
"Target one eliminated," he said in his soft cultured voice.
He soon got lost in the crowd, a nameless face.

Billy was losing and losing fast. His face was a dead giveaway of the tension he felt. Sarah's call in the middle of the game had not helped matters. His face was pale and he kept mopping beads of sweat off his brow. His shirt was wet as sweat ran in rivulets down his back, twisting and turning around his body as if delighted in added to his torment. His eyes darted to the doors as he plotted his escape route if things went south.

Soft music played in the background but it failed to make him calm and relaxed. His fingers itched for a stick of cigarette but a pat on his pocket yielded nothing. His fingers trembled as he contemplated his fate. He had no money, unless mother luck smiled on him and he wins this round.

He was close to shedding tears as he looked down on the cards dealt out to him. Nothing short of a miracle could rescue him from this mess. Death stared up at him.

Excited chatter made him look up, on TV was the news of the explosion. It had injured six people but had killed Sarah Connor instantly. He peed in his pants as he heard the name. He slowly stood up, threw the cards on the table, ignored the angry exclamations that greeted his actions and ran to the convenience.

There, he sobbed as he sat on the toilet seat, wishing he had had no part in this whole mess...one that would cost his life. Ollie never forgives, he kills his enemies one after the other.

Billy was a coward. Sarah had been the one to hold his hand when they had gotten rid of the body. He was huge, a monster of a man with a mean ugly face but Ollie had always called him a tall, spineless fool.
He took the beads from his pocket, kissed it and said, "help me be a better person in my next life."

He took the gun out of his waistband, his hands shook as he lifted it up to his head. He squeezed his eyes shut and pulled the trigger.

Ollie lit a cigarette outside the bar, inhaled the smoke and said, " here is to you, old boy. Enjoy your trip to hell!" With that, he threw the cigarette down, ground it out with his heel and walked away.

The Willie brothers smelt trouble and their nose never steered them wrong. Ash paid off the whore in his lap so he could take time to think. He watched as his brother did the same.

They were twins and had the same habits, however, they never shared the same woman. They had the same thirst for money and power. They burned with greed. They had killed a lot of men for money and would keep doing so. The brothers were fearless, not even the formidable Ollie had scared them. It had taken a whole year of careful planning and enticement before they had been able to lure those two cowards to their side.

They had delighted in killing the bastard. His wealth their to spend and they did so lavishly. Within six months, it was all gone and they moved on to another prey.

"Any idea what the trouble could be?" Ash asked his brother as he swallowed a shot of whiskey.

"An enemy, brother. What else?" He laughed.

"...and we have them in abundance." They chorused and laughed together.

Ollie watched the brothers from the back of the room. Soon, soon, they would pay for their treachery. He slipped out unnoticed into the dark night.

Drunk and happy, the Willie brothers walked out of Madam Eve's salon, confident they would deal with their troubles tomorrow...if only they knew the fate that awaited them, they would never have drank so much that night.

They bid each other good night and went to their respective rooms. Ash fell heavily on his bed and proceeded to sleep the drink off. He dreamt of Madam Eve's girl Linda. She was attentive as usual when suddenly she started tearing off her clothes.
"I am on fire...please put it out, it hurts so bad." She cried. "Help me please"

He woke up to a burning sensation all over his body. Fear gripped him as he feared fire. He leapt out of bed jumping about but there was no fire. His body itched so fiercely he could not stay still. He swept the covers off the bed and saw fire ants crawling gracefully, in no hurry across the bed. A look at himself and he saw he was covered in them.

"Get them off...get them off!" He cried as he ran out of his room, tearing his clothes and itching at the same time.

"Dan...wake up! Please, get them off me." He cried.
To his greatest surprise, he saw his brother racing down the stairs, yelling and tearing off his clothes in a hurry. The pain was unbearable especially in the groin which was swollen to twice its size. The sound of loud maniacal laughter resonated throughout the townhouse, briefly bringing the brothers out of their misery.

Lightning flashed through the windows and the thunder was loud, making the earth vibrate with the force of it. They looked at each other, fear apparent on their eyes as this foe seemed like no other.
The sound of breaking dishes drew their eyes to a corner of the room.

"Who is there? Reveal yourself." Ash said, waving his gun in his trembling hands. He felt feverish and nausea. He just wanted to get it over with. A whistling sound betrayed the throw of a knife through the air. He screamed as it buried itself in his upper arm. He dropped the gun, and cradled his wounded arm. His brother suffered the same fate, only the knife was buried in his thigh.

The pain was too much as they both felt dizzy. The sound of boots coming in their direction made them raise their eyes and they were looking into the cold eyes of the maniac, Ollie. He had the angelic smile only his eyes were cold, they sent fear up their spines.

"You...we killed you and burnt your body. How is this possible?"
Loud laughter greeted their query.

"Welcome to hell...my own hell, gentlemen!" He said softly. "Your suffering would soon end and you would be free to rot with the devil."

"Please, have mercy. We would pay you anything, do anything. Just don't kill us."

"The hour of mercy is past, gentlemen. Only torment is left to enjoy."

As if waiting for his command, the fire ants crawled across the floor, stalking their quarry, weak and exhausted, the brothers crawled away but it was only a matter of time before the ants were feasting on their flesh.

Dan smelt gasoline, he pleaded but it was all in vain. Ollie watched with satisfaction as the flames hungrily made its way toward living screaming flesh. The smell of roasted flesh was making Ollie hungry.

He walked away from the burning building, the sweet sound of their screams in his ears.

He went to Madam Eve's, ordered food and watched sweet Linda walk up to him, an eager smile on her face.
