COUPLE'S DECEIT

John and Mary were two compatible couple. They married five years ago but they had no child yet; this might be due to their busy schedule. They were both employed so they leave their house very early and return home pretty late. They were very tired whenever they return, therefore, they will just resume to their bed. Handsome John was a banker and his beautiful wife was a Personal Assistant to an Honourable member of House of Assembly. one could imagine how both of them would be so engaged. They had everything they needed in their custody except time but they saw it as a normal thing. After all, they can buy anything in their reach. They had Sunday to themselves. It was a very important day to them so they made sure that they enjoy it to the fullness. No visitor was allowed to come so they were always together playing, talking, romancing and a lot of rounds of sex were done for the day. It was a day that they both value in their marriage so there was know compromise.
Some years after, they both lost their job almost the same time. They were initially happy because they now had time for themselves unlike before that they postponed all the activities to Sunday but after some months; they found it very boring and difficult. They had spent all the money they had within few months and nothing is left for them; not even a kobo in bank account. They started noticing their shortcomings and it led to several quarrel but John summoned courage and plead with his wife to stop the fight and find a lasting solution to their predicament. They had a plan:
Mary went to a distance community in search of a lady from a very rich family. She eventually found Toluwani, the only child and daughter of Mr and Mrs Tokunbo. The parents were very rich and well connected. She met her at the salon and she introduced herself as John's younger sister. She told Toluwani that her brother was a shy person and he was desperate for marriage. They exchanged address and fixed an appointment for both of them. Toluwani was very happy to settle at last. Her parents had told her severally to bring her husband home but she hadn't found the person she really love. When Mary showed her John's photographs; she was satisfied.
John and Toluwani met as planned by Mary in one of the best Eateries in town. John being a very handsome man was well dressed and slayed the attention of Toluwani and other searchers around. No doubt she fell in love with John instantly.
When they were excused by Mary; they both shared their experience. they talked for a while and John told her that he just lost his job from the bank. Toluwani assured her that he should not bother that she will take good care of him and provide him with a better job. Before they parted that day; Toluwani sent about five million into John's bank account and promised to visit him in his house the following week. They hug and kissed each other romantically.
Mary was angry when she sighted her husband hugging and kissing Toluwani but when John told her all that she promised and the bank alert of five million naira; she did not complain again. They went home happy, bought some things they will use at home. Having taken their bath; they made love severally that night before they slept off.
Toluwani was very happy to meet her soul mate. She couldn't hide her feelings to her mother. Her mother advised her to be careful with men but she couldn't listen to her because she had already made her choice.
Mary and John prepared the house and rehearsed how they will act as brother and sister. After a while, Toluwani arrived with lots of foodstuff, provision and beverages. It took Mary hours to assemble them into their house while the lovers were chatting in the living room. Mary was frustrated because no one could assist her. Toluwani was entertained with rice and plantain but she insisted she must eat with her lover. They both ate and later transferred their romance to the bedroom. They made real love while Toluwani was screaming loud in ecstasy. it was really a hot one indeed! but Mary was jealous because she felt John was performing adultery in their matrimonial bedroom and also selfish with his thing. He had never hit her to this extent before! They spent hours in the room and later they had their bath because the heat was much.
They returned to the bedroom to complete their discussion. John, knowing that Toluwani is well satisfied and relaxed told her that he just won a contract of five million naira but he needed about two hundred million naira to execute the contract before he will be paid. Toluwani never gave it a second thought before calling her account officer to transfer two hundred million naira into John's account immediately. John was surprised to receive the alert. He promised to make refunds immediately he was paid. He was so happy that he could not hide his feelings. He proposed to Toluwani and promised to visit her parents the following week to fix a date for their nuptial ceremony. The lovers parted in joy and happiness.
Mary was boiling and crying in the visitor's room when John went to search for her. She was really angry but John had to show her the bank alert of two hundred million naira before her cry changed to smile. She was really really u controllable but John had to calm her down. "We have to relocate from here immediately," said the couple in unison, they started arranging their things to relocate to another town the following day.
They sold all their property except the cloth they were putting on.
They were coming out of their apartment when they were arrested by the police. John tried to question them but they insisted both of them must follow them to the station. They went to the station confidently but when they got there; they could not believe their eye and hear.
The policeman in charge of the case asked John to bring out his wristwatch. This wrist watch was given to John by Toluwani the very first day they met and she told him to always wear it.
When the policeman got hold of the wristwatch; he clicked the first button and immediately all the secret conversation between John and Mary was exposed.
Toluwani appeared at the station a minute after and was not surprised about the couple's action. According to her, the wristwatch was used to monitor their movement and know who they really are. All the money in John's account was transferred back into Toluwani's account and the couple was left with nothing. What a deceit!
