Very good, the story is quite correct - in life we must focus primarily on our own tasks rather then worry and fret about what others are doing - be it better or worse then we can ourselves. When we focus on our own lives, our own plans and tasks we can excel, time lost worrying we are not as good as others or might be missing out on what they are doing just detracts from our own development.

I would say though that there is merit in encouraging others, sharing your thoughts on the work they do and helping them to learn and develop. A few kind words or insightful thoughts cost nothing but can make the world of difference.
