HUNGRY Mena!

The cockcrow got Mena opening his eyes. He had been waiting for this joyous alarm and it felt like it would never come. It is xmas, a day synonymous with celebrations.

He had only one place to go without invitation, the church and listen to carols rend the air. Today he would invite himself to any festivities. He would stand by people's windows and watch as their kids play with their toys.

He would stand there with his bowl of garri (processed cassava)and watch as they all devour sumptuous Xmas delicacies, allowing his imagination satisfy him.

He would climb atop the huge tree overhung in the park and feed his eyes with entertainment. It's a season of love, this he has in abundance.
It's a season of sharing, this he lacks in redundance.

He is going to take today, just for today. Christmas is in the air. He will make sure he breathes in every scent.
