I really like the Mao quote. 🤗
There's still so much to delve into with Saddie and her backstory. You've made her a well rounded character, to the point where she feels real. She's strong but has her vulnerabilities, same as everyone, and she is taking her experiences through your stories and learning from them. It's easy to fall back on the trope of having a character free from foibles and flaws (ie perfect) but you care about her. How she overcomes her troubles, how she deals with her scars both physical and emotional, and how she comes to realize that she has to let people in (the ones who truly care anyway). But, you've also kept her as she should be, a young girl who has a beautiful heart and a sense of adventure (come what may), and who has someone who she loves very much that she misses.
Actually, I'm interested in reading more of Aderito's and Mister's stories. Lieu Emma was a fine addition and I'm looking forward to reading more of her journey as well. I know better than to ever piss off a farmer's daughter (or a baker for that matter). They are stronger than often given credit for and often have a tongue that can flay a person from 100 paces.
Thank you, Felix. I may be a pain to work with (okay I am) but you were absolutely wonderful to co-write with. 💖
