I typically try to avoid the hotels where your door opens to the outside no matter what brand they are. After knowing you for a while on here, I can assure you, it was the accent :)
I know the type, stayed in a few. Those are the ones fugitives hide out in, or have I watched too many American movies?
I think that is one of the cases where fiction is not that far off from fact!
