Story About Abu Nawas

The full name of Hasan ibn Hani ibn Abd al Awwal ibn al shabbah ibn al jarrah ibn Abdullah bin Hammad ibn aflah ibn zakat ibn Hanab ibn ibn ibn ghanam ibn sulaiman ibn hakam ibn Sa'ad al Asyirah ibn Malik. But he is known as Abu Nawas which means the Moving Prophet Who Moves.

There is a background of a short story that made him come to be known as Abu Nawas.

One day a wealthy merchant of the city of Bashrah invited several of his friends to a banquet. He wants all invited to come. Because after a long wait there is an invite named Ahmad who has not come, the merchant then told a waiter to catch up with him.

On the way to the merchant's house, Ahmad finds his close friend Hasan engrossed in playing with several small children. The Hasan looks very funny. Especially when he was running among the children, the hairs in his hair seemed to move in the wind.

"Hi Hasan, come with me, we go to the banquet!" Ahmad exclaimed.

Hasan suddenly turned to the voice calling him. Rushing he ran up to Ahmad with a crest appeared to move. Since then people have called the Crested Proprietor or Abu Nawas.

Abu Nawas was born in 747 AD in the city of al ahwaz, persia. But he grew up in the Baghdad city of Bashrah. at first he could not speak Arabic at all, but when life mingled with the indigenous Arab people, he became very fluent in Arabic. Until al jahizh (770-869), a literary figure and thinker of the Mu'tazila school, once said,

"I have never heard of someone who is very intelligent in Arabic beyond Abu Nawas, his dialect is very eloquent, pleasant to hear, and never uses ambiguous words, which are not pleasant to hear."

Abu nawas famous as one of the figures of Arabic poets. In the field of Arabic literature he is highly respected by scholars, especially the educated people of french. He is one of the new poets of the flow. Even his name is aligned with modern poets like ummu al qais, al qudami, and so on.

unfortunately, in the eyes of Arabian readers, the name of the introspective ash is actually discredited as a jovial comedian but very intelligent, as can be read in the book alfu lailah wa lailah (the story of one thousand and one nights), and other popular tales. The bad image seems to be more viscous to the self of the introspective ash, rather than his skill as a famous poet. other than that it is said he is often involved in the use of drinking and homosexual practices. he likes to portray both in a very beautiful form in some of his poetry.

it seems that we have to dare to rewrite the true history of the ashes' history, which is completely clean of such bad images.
