📘 Bedtime Stories 4 kids - Mary learns left and right.

Ever since Mary was very little, she enjoyed dancing. As soon as she heard music, she lifted up the dress and made dance steps. When she was big enough, she was allowed to go to dance classes.

At first she learned to keep in line with the music, and later she learned "some other dance moves" but one day when she came home from dance class she was sad and said to her mother: "I dont want to go to dance class anymore!"

"Well, why not," her mother asked "you're so happy when you dance."

"I do not know the difference between the right and the left leg" said Mary "I'm embarrassed, because all the others knows the difference."

"Is it only because of that" said her mother, "I know just what to do."

Mary's mother found a piece of red tape and tied it in a loop around Marys right leg.

"See, now you know that the red tape is on the right leg." she said.

Mary had the tape on her right leg all day long, and whenever her mother asked, "Where is your right leg?" Mary stretched her leg with the tape on.

On Friday, when Mary was going to dance class, she was almost certain which of the legs was right. But to be sure, her mother gave her the red tape on anyway. In addition, it looked quite nice. That day Mary did not mistake right and left, not even once.

When she had been to dance class a couple more times afterwards, she no longer needed the red tape, because now she was absolutely sure about which was right and which whas left, and since then she has been looking forward to dancing every Friday again.
