  The house of ghosts 

 It was late at night and Mary wanted to go to bed. She was so tired because she had worked all day at the office. Writing reports and giving answer back to that strict boss. She went to bed and she was sleeping and thinking. She was thinking to John, her new boyfriend. John with that kind smile and lovely face. He tried his best to make Mary happy. He was the prince of dreams for Mary. Mary Loved him more than anyone. John was a tall boy and he was a little skinny but really attractive. Every girl liked to be his girlfriend with that modest behavior and gentle character.  

On the other hand, Mary was an angel, too. She was tall and in great fitness. A girl with black eyes and dark hair. She was asked by many men for marriage including her boss. She liked John and she never thought about any other person. She felt happy with John and John was her prince. As sleeping many nice memories passed and she fell asleep.  Suddenly, there was a quick sound and Mary felt it for a while but because of exhaustion, she didn`t pay attention and fell asleep again. After half an hour the sound occurred again and now Mary was awake and frightened. She was thinking about the sound. She said, “Who are you?” But nobody answered. Now, she was feeling so bad because the door was locked and she couldn`t see anybody nor inside or outside the window.  She was living in an old house. Her salary was not so much to rent a better house. John has told her, after marriage, they can rent a luxury house with a beautiful yard full of red and yellow flowers. John always told her about roses and lilies in their yard. These statements of John passes through her mind and she forgot about the sound. She put the blanket over all her body and all her face and then she fell asleep. 

She got up at 8 a.m. She ate some cheese and bread, she made her coffee and drank three cups. She needed coffee in the mornings to get her awake. She went to the subway station to get the subway and getting her office. On the subway, she was thinking about last night coincidences. She heard that sound twice and for sure, it was not an accident. She decided to talk about it to John. She got the office, David, that strict boss with that naughty smile was there. He said, “Hi, Mary. Late again. Late for 2 minutes.” Mary didn`t say anything and she went directly to her room. Suzan, her colleague was there. Suzan was a good colleague and a good friend. She said hello to Mary and smiled at her. Mary said, “Hi, Suzan.” Then Mary sat down and began to work.  AS usual, during the lunch break Mary was waiting for John. John worked in a factory around 5 miles away from Mary`s office. John came and Mary was so delighted to see him again. They hugged and a romantic atmosphere covered all the surroundings. They ate lunch and they were talking and they wanted to use the time in a great way. Mary forgot to tell John anything about last night. They said goodbye and returned to work. It was around 5:30 p.m and Mary left work. On the way, she went to a coffee shop and drank an amazing milkshake. It was around 7 p.m and now Mary was at home. She remembered last night and she was scared a little but she hoped it never occurs again. 

 She made a fast dinner, some boiled eggs and after eating, she turned on TV and she listened to Norah Jones and she was enjoying her voice. Norah was her favorite singer. Her voice was amazing, relaxing and gentle. She was watching TV and eating popcorn. It was around 10 p.m and she felt tired. She decided to go to bed. As usual, she fell asleep really fast. Again, that quick sound. She thought it is not accident and now, I am sure. She looked at all her surroundings. Around the room, kitchen and even the bathroom but nobody was there. She looked out the window and nothing. She was really frightened and called John.  “Oh, John maybe you don`t believe me or make fun of me but I`m sure it`s not an accident.” John was listening to Mary in a surprised way. “What are you talking about sweetie? Are you ok?” Mary told John the whole story. John said, “I`ll come to your place, don`t worry.”  Mary waited for John and after half an hour, John arrived. He called Mary and Mary opened the door. John searched all the rooms and he said to Mary, “Dear, maybe you are so tired at work. David is a huge monster and you see him every day and he makes you feeling bad.”  Mary said,” No, John. Believe me. It`s not imagination or anything else.” John nodded and approved her. They sat for a while talked about nice and sweet memories and when Mary was feeling well, John said goodbye and he left Mary`s place. It was not good for him to be there and some neighbors were very busybody and maybe they created problems for them.  Mary went to sleep again and after an hour of sleeping, she heard the sound again and again. Two times in a sequence and it was unbelievable. Mary looked around and she saw a white thing and she fainted immediately.

It was 9:30 in the morning and Mary was not at work. David was complaining and cursing. Suzan was worried. She called Mary three times but nobody answered. She said, “David, I`m sure something has happened, let me go to her place.” David said, “OK, go and come back very soon.”  Suzan got Mary`s place. She knocked the door and nobody answered. Finally, she called the police. Police broke the door and entered. Poor Mary was on the floor, unconscious and without any movements. Suzan started crying and she called John. Police took Mary to a hospital on Main Street. Suzan gave John the address to the hospital. After around 45 minutes, John arrived the hospital. He was very mad at himself and he was blaming himself for last night. “I shouldn`t have left her alone.”  John saw the doctor and told him what has happened. Doctor said, Mary is well and she has passed a big shock. Doctor told John to be more careful about Mary.

 Around 12 noon, Mary was well and she opened her black eyes. John was so glad to see her healthy again. John said, “Oh Mary, my dearest and the only excuse for life. How are you doing?”  Marry remembered last night very quick and told John about it. John said, “I won`t let you to be alone from now, I talked to Suzan and She wants to live with you for a while.” Mary agreed and appreciated john for his care and attention. In the evening, Suzan came to Mary`s place and she had her suitcase, too. She wanted to stay with Mary for a couple of days. Mary was so happy for having a good friend like Suzan and a good supporter like John. She felt a great sense of happiness and she thanked God with all her heart and sincerely.  That evening, Suzan and Mary cooked a delicious dinner and after dinner, they watched a great documentary about animals in Africa. It was a quiet night and they went to bed. Night passed and nothing happened. In the morning, they woke up and made a quick breakfast, they drank their coffee and went to work. They got to work on time and David was happy to see both employees are there at the proper time. At lunch break, John visited Mary and asked her about last night. Mary was satisfied and talked about a quiet and nice night with Suzan. John thanked God and told Mary to relax more. This time John had a gift for Mary. Mary opened it fast and it was unbelievable a bracelet with a lot of beauty and adorable design. Mary hugged John and thanked him for all his kindness and affection. John said goodbye and left Mary with a lot of lovely memories. 

 At 5:30 p.m, Suzan and Mary left the office. On the way, there was a beautiful café, they went there and drank some strawberry juice. They talked about many different issues and they walked home. They decided to cook for dinner. They bought some chicken and some carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce. When they got home, they turned the TV on. It was Adele On TV. Both of them liked Adele and her voice. They were listening to music and making dinner. At 7:30, dinner was ready. They ate dinner and they made a decision after dinner. They wanted to invite John for Friday night. They went to bed around 11 p.m and both of them fell asleep really fast.  It was midnight. There was that sound again. Mary started trembling and wanted to call Suzan but she couldn`t. She saw the white creature again. After a while, she fainted and suddenly, Suzan got up, too. It was unbelievable a ghost. For sure, it was not a person. Suzan was afraid and said to the ghost, “Who WhoWho …………are you?”  The ghost answered, “Oh, I should ask you the same question?” Suzan was trembling and she couldn`t think of anything and she fainted. It was 10 a.m and they weren`t at work. David was so angry. He was thinking about firing both of them. He was complaining and he called their phones many times but nobody answered. It was lunch time and John got the hangout. He waited for 10 minutes and he didn`t see Mary. He was worried and full of scare. He thought about Mary and Suzan and he ran to the subway station. He got on the subway and he got Mary`s place. He called the police. Police came and they broke the door. It was unbelievable. Mary and Suzan were on the floor, unconscious and in a bad situation.

  The room had a very strange odor. It was something like graveyard odor. John felt the presence of something superhuman in this story. Police couldn`t find anything. Immediately, they took them to the hospital. Around 3 p.m, Suzan and Mary opened their eyes and they saw John beside them. Mary started crying and Suzan was surprised and thinking about last night. John in a trembling voice said hello to them and asked about last night. They told John the whole story. John was confused and he didn`t know what to do. He thinking very hard and he was searching a solution for this serious problem. 

 John had a lovely and experienced uncle. His name was Tom. He had helped John in many cases and when John had a problem without solution, uncle Tom had a new and suitable solution for it. He called uncle and he said to him about a big problem. Tom said, “Oh, dear. You can see me at home in the afternoon.” John appreciated uncle for this appointment.  John told Mary and Suzan about his uncle and assured them to be relax because Tom would find a solution to this problem. They were hopeful and asked john about his uncle. John described his uncle. A retired pilot with a lot of adventures in his life from Bermuda Triangle to Pacific Ocean and visiting tribes and cannibals at the islands. Now, Suzan and Mary were so hopeful to get a solution to that problem. In the afternoon, both Suzan and Mary felt better and they decided to go with John. John accepted their request and they went to Tom`s house. When they arrived, Tom opened the door. A tall man with gray hair. He had some wrinkles on his face. Tom invited them to come in. John said, “Today`s a nice day. Would you like tea or coffee?” Mary answered, “Either one is fine, thanks.” Tom went to the kitchen and after five minutes, he came back with four cups of coffee and some cookies.
