I Saved a Life
I still remember that awesome day, I could see the sun optimistic yellow pellet, blistering in the sky as I was walking alone on white sand of Mobor beach in Goa. Walking forward I overwhelming could see clear water.
I could hear the sound of waves colliding and feel the unruffled sea breeze grooming by. The beach was swarming with people as I looked around my surroundings.
As I was walking I saw a tiny rock near by, as I came near to that rock I saw something moving in the sand, As I came closer towards it, I was like OHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Whaaaattt is that small little turtle doing on the beach alone. I found that he was not able to walk properly, I was wondering how come he is alone, where is his Family, I slowly picked up the tiny turtle and what I saw was blood on his tiny left leg, he was badly wounded, that's gave me answer why he was not able to walk properly.
I felt really Sad to see that wound, I could somehow feel his pain. But what I could do at the moment, there was nothing around, luckily I had small Napkin in my pocket which was from the Hotel where I recently had my Breakfast, I slowly rubbed that blood on his wound, I was not sure what I am doing, but all I wanted was to Help him.
I started searching for his mother his sibling around, Hoping to see them so that I can leave him with them. I walked around the rock, I tried searching a lot but sadly couldn't found any. I was still wondering what shall I do now, maybe I could simply leave him on the sand or maybe in the ocean.
Not sure Totally confused holding him onto my napkin what to do??. I though the only way I could save him is, I should personally take care of him. I took him to my Hotel room, where my friends who drank a lot last night were snoring like a lion. I woke them up to see what I got.
They were surprised to see him, One of my friend told me to go again to the same place were I had found him and leave him there, but I have already made up my mind. I wanted to save him, I wanted to pet him. I was so attached with him that I was not going to leave him now.
So we ask the hotel receptionist is there any VET nearby, Sadly it was far and we didn't had any vehicles to travel. so we managed for a bike on a rent, My friend was riding I was holding him, we went inside the clinic, I explained everything to the doc. He cleaned his wound and gave him small injection and told me don't worry he is fine. I had a huge relief.
We came back to the hotel and were thinking how could I take him to my home in Mumbai, So we thought of booking a ticket in tours and travel bus. I was also thinking how shall I keep him safe in the entire journey. I took a plastic blow which has a tight lid onto it. I pricked few holes on the lid. I kept him inside the bowl with little bit of water.
I had already taken turtle food suggested by the Vet in the near by store. So Finally its time to take my tiny turtle to his new home.
Travelling inside the bus, we were talking about the entire journey in the Goa. The way we enjoyed Food, Trance Music, played volley ball and had so much Fun, as we found our turtle in Mobor beach in Goa. We all decided to give him name as 'MOBOR'.
This his how I Saved 'MOBOR', I am really happy today that he is with me. whenever I am sad I see him which makes me smile again, Whenever Life is Harsh on me, I remember Mobor journey, If he could survive and live, why not me then, Mobor is the True MOTIVATOR for me. No matter what, I will love him till my Last Breath
The Reason I am sharing the entire story today is because today is a very special day today is "MOBOR's BIRTHDAY".
I am sharing few pic of Mobor, sadly mobar aquarium tank was broken yesterday while shifting my sofa. No worries for the moment I have kept him in a small plastic tub, but today my aunt has a surprise for mobor with his new home.
I will be really Glad if you could all wish "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to my Lovely 'MOBOR'
