THE MOON

            Rachel had a rough life, being  a lonely child , she could never socialize , especially with boys. That could be maybe , because her father crushed after her mother's death, left her in an orphanage when she was only 6. Raised by social workers, although devoted to their work, she never felt like having a family, and really missed a strong father figure.

            Because of her problem socializing, she found herself in painting, expressing her feelings in ways that she could never express with words, and by the age of 17 she got a scholarship on The New York School of High Arts, where she of course found more people with problems communicating.  

            After a while she started to get noticed and, her work, full of emotions was promoted by Jan, her curator, amongst New York's biggest talent. Jan was very impressed with her work, praised her and they started talking a lot. Rachel found her missing  father figure and they started seeing each other more often. He should have never allowed her to fall in love knowing her past, and knowing he has a wife and child, that could have easily been Rachels sister.

             It all ended up in drama and Rachel gave up on love, and bought herself a cute canishe, her best friend and confident, able to  bark off even her most sad thoughts. And for a while she felt free, free to create , free to live, her work was starting to attract more attention and she already had clients, making a living out of her paintings.

              It's Monday, 9 am, her day starts with a nice walk with Sam in the Carrol Park. She loves the sun falling on her beatifull skin, the air around is taking her mind off her problems, and makes up really nice inspiration.

     "-Oh, Sam, come back you silly dog"
