Part 3 - The Mausoleum
On this cold and windy day in an old house near the cemetery, we find Darius.
He is gathering his strength to rise out of bed. He didn’t want to get up. Besides, why should he in his current condition?
There isn’t even a name for it. Only the Orb will help – he’d seen this condition before but only in others.
The changing of his features the restrictions in the movement of his body.
Darius is still a brilliant man he will have to call on all his knowledge and training.
Only he alone knows the use of the orb and soon he will prove it. This is what keeps him in town.
There are so many better things he could be doing once he is back to his old self.
Pulling himself up he sits stiffly on the side of the bed, using his hands to help swing his legs over so they barely touch the floor. Being on this planet takes it toll on even the strongest of his people.
Darius stretches his arms and says out loud, “So her name is Victoria.
She needs my help and she doesn’t know it yet.”

Darius a brave man has done alot and I'm ashamed of his current situation as he has seen the situation but only in other, now that he is expecting that on his own, this must be painful for him, restrictions in body is really pain in the ass, you can't do anything but see, even can't go for toilet... GET WELL SOON Darius...
be careful you may need his help one day.

Dear @rebeccabe i actually love the plot.You description on Darius' condition was fantastic.I don't know if you have planed it this way but it feels like a dark story-which i love- i m starting getting attached to the characters.Especially Victoria.Seems determined>Thumbs up for your try

I praticaly can relate to what Darius is presently going through.
Once, a story was told of a professor, a radiologist, who came down with cancer but on realisation, irradiated himself to death in frustration.
with the same radiation with which he treated people, he killed himsef
In between... That was another good piece from you. @michelle would really be impressed.

A strange man having answers to the quest of a strong willed woman, this story sure gets better.
Am kinda liking the suspense though its a scary one but it pulls one in to read.
