Amaka lived with her uncle, she lost her parents at a very young age, she is very beautiful and she has a beautiful voice, but her uncle's wife Ngozi hated her and maltreated her, she forced her to do hard labor, send her to the streams in ungodly hours of the night.

One night as she was crying to the stream she crossed paths with the crown prince of her village, who took interest in her, as she had a very beautiful voice, he sang the song Amaka was singing as she was crying, and comforted her.

The Prince is to take a wife soon, but as to the tradition of the community, a dance competition would be held on the third market, all the young ladies from the community would come out to dance and the prince would therefore make his choice.

Ngozi was aware of Amaka's beauty and talent and didn't want her to go to the competition, so on that day, she gave her a big drum of water to fill, she has to go to stream 100 times before she could fill the drum, meanwhile Ngozi took her two daughters shopping, bought them the finest clothes and took them to an herbalist to prepare a portion that would make the prince love her daughters. Amaka went about with her duty, she has gone halfway now very tired, it's about 05:00pm and surely the competition should be over, the Prince must have picked his bride but out of curiosity she quickly branched the village square to see who the soon to be Queen or "lolo" would be. She go there, the Prince had refused everyone, on seeing Amaka the prince stood up and rushed to her, held her by her hands took her to the king.

WHATS THE MORAL

As many of you have concluded, Amaka lived happily ever after with her Prince, yes that's true, but what would have happened if Amaka failed to show up, if she continue fetching the water as instructed by her Aunty? You see we are all actors in this life called "Ngozi", life favors some, that's the rich"Ngozi daughters" and life don't favor some "Amaka"as many of us have had an experience and we look for an Hero to help us, we have been beaten, pushed to the ground by life and we cry everyday looking for an hero"A prince", is there anyone out there? is the question we ask ourselves, like Amaka I want you to know destiny can only be delayed and there is always a bright light at the end of the tunnel if we chose to set the price for life.

Before a new dawn we have to go through the darkest hour

At the end of that hour we either become better or we let go, I hope you don't let go but keep keeping on.

I love the storyline and its very interesting but short.

Wicked step-mother, two ugly sisters, prince is having a ball to choose a bride. You have imagination! This is really a story for children. How did you think of it?

This comment though xD xD xD #cinderellare-born?

Not quite 100%

Well its a combination of various idea, wicked aunt in my case was Cinderela, whereas the dance competition is a old pratice in one of the traditional kingdoms in my country. I wanted to write about life, and somewhat cojoin both to psint a picture
