Year 1923, there was still not much that the Mexican Revolution had finished, and there were still no flames that must be burned. In one of those "thuds" of violence, a rich territory was killed and his family faced economic difficulties. In order to live in their children, life has become Irineo Monroy, a priest, to live in his house. The priest accepted, and in addition to the furniture, he brought his books. That library cheered Juan's life, one of the orphans, and his fate would have to be decided. And Latin American literature, still does not thank the priest Irineo Monroy, having shared his library with that boy named Juan Nepomuceno Carlos Pérez Rulfo Vizcaíno, better known as Juan Rulfo, author of Pedro Páramo. And so begins this great little novel:
