Welcome to the Philippines: Tindahan
Trivia: Tindahan is called "store" in english language. The different of tindahan from the other is the product they're selling. Tindahan is different from "sari-sari store", the tindahan used to sell only the daily or basic needs of each household. Like for example the product they sell are, vegetables, fruits, spicies, seasonings.
Did you know the word "tindahan" came from the españards. As we all know that Philippines was ruled by españards for long. Many dialect from them are used by the Filipinos now.
Now let me show you what are they selling.
If it's a small store you must call it "tindahan" because if it's bigger you will call them, "sari-sari store, convenience store." You can see tindahan in a rural town. Where the people don't need to go the city if they only need a small amount of products.
If you visit in the Philippines you don't need to worry where to buy because tindahan is everywhere, but for only a simple needs.

really? well that's nice, don't ever forget to visit the places here, you don't need to trust everyone but be nice, just becareful though because not all people are nice but as you know, filipinos are nice to foreigners.
