I share much of your frustration with regards to the memo text. As you mention '...to secure wallets' had me questioning what was meant by this exactly. E.g. Are Steem wallets not secure?

What that obviously means is anonymous wallets. An unfortunate side effect of this shit show was the pulling of delegations from Musing and DSound.
