Purchases top $53bn as central bank tries to calm jittery market

Interesting article about how the bank of Japan is buying Japanese stocks through ETFs. This is not going to end well. Why the government thinks buying stocks with taxpayer money is a good idea is beyond me. I wouldn't want to be in that market....
