VIX
VIX is a volatility index calculated by the Chicago Board Options Exchange. This quantifies the volatility of S&P 500 options that market participants expect over the next 30 days, and its usefulness is recognized as one of the factors in predicting the market. The higher this index, the greater the fluctuation in stock prices. Since stock markets generally rise, they tend to move in the opposite direction of stock market indices. VIX reacts sensitively to market issues. Usually, if it is less than 20, it means that investment sentiment is stable, but in the worst case, it means there is a bubble.
