Interesting article. I had no idea Match owned Tinder. You'd think that Tinder would cannibalize Match's consumer base but maybe by differentiating they are controlling more of the market. The 10-K for Match would be an interesting read.
It's almost hypocritical of them (when you watch the Match.com commercials). On the other hand, they are so smart to get the people that want both the one night stands and the long term relationships.
Haha. True. These sites are filled with a huge amount of horn dogs chasing after a much smaller amount of women. Another hypocritical example is how the banks own the payday lending companies. They can skirt around the US usury laws by simply rebranding the loans as a payday advance. I got suckered into one of those when I was an E-2 in the Navy in 2001.
