I was thinking about the system too when it comes to blogging. Some aspiring bloggers sometimes lose heart when their blogs don't get noticed for a long while. And this happens because their content is buried deep by users with huge voting power or investments

Yes this does tend to happy... people want and expect instant gratification but it doesn't happen immediately. But over time and with persistence, it does. It happened that way for me.
