STEEM NEWS!! Equivalent of 46% of Steem Changes Hands Today!!!

With Poloniex adding Steem and Steem Dollars today, there has been a big jump in Steem volume...

Bittrex 24hr Volume: 2132btc
Total = 3627btc or 629,687 Steem (@0.0055 price at 4pm, acknowledge there will be some discrepancy)

Steem in circulations (data from https://steemd.com)
Current Supply: 105,185,138 Steem
Vesting Steem (Steem Power): 102,514,095 Steem
Steem in Circulation = 2,671,043

With the Steemit team controlling some large accounts holding Steem, notably account Steemit and Steemit 2, we can assume these are going nowhere fast and assume these are on lock down (data from https://steemd.com/richlist)

Steemit: 1,184,119 Steem
Steemit2: 52,750 Steem
Reduced Steem Circulation: 1,236,869 Steem

This means that trading volume was the equivalent of roughly 46% of Steem in circulation (by my measure)

This is significantly high and show's a massive appetite for Steem. It also shows that Traders are doing a lot of the volume, which will only aid the Steemit team in their ambitions to create a stable crypto currency. More traders, more volume, more efficiency and stability.
