Why did sharks never tried to conquer the land?
Hey guys,
sharks are one of the oldest fishes on earth.
Nevertheless, only the teleosts have conquered the land.
Sharks on the land are just fantasy.
What could be an explanation for this? The sharks are longer on earth than teleosts thus they had much more time for trial and error.
Even today, there are only a few shark-related fishes (cartilaginous fishes) in freshwater.
Thank you for your answers

But on the other hand there are also strong and weak sharks, so what prevents the weak sharks to escape from the overlord sharks?
Thanks for your reply!
