A: Why do we perceive time running faster as we grow older?

in #stemq6 years ago (edited)

Hey there,

for instance when you are crossing a street. As a child, you see many new things everywhere. The density of input is very high. When you are older there are only a few new things around. The density of input per time is lower.

Afterward, you assess the time by the things you experienced.

That's why the time is running when you are older.

The density of fresh input per given time is lower, your perception is, therefore, shrank.
