Please if no bothers, I am going to see this more from a literary angle. Being epistolary, I like the fact that it quite much reads personal to an unseen friend, and at the same time, reads meaning to the general public. Anyone reading this, especially the vegans, would feel a sense of being addressed. This is in everywhere a beautiful technique for a science post.
