RE: Drugs on the Brain: an Addiction Story
I always try to write informally to make the post readable and interesting. Unfortunately, this affects the scientific exactness of my posts. But I am not writing for professionals only. Majority of my audience, I suppose, are just regular people and my posts are meant to clear up some details about certain life issues. I feel satisfied whenever I am able to do that. I do not expect professionals to find my posts interesting at all because I post basic stuff in a way everyone can understand them. Professionals have academic journals to keep updated in their fields. In fact I expect that they can pick many holes in my posts if they mean to.
If a non-science person reads my post and realizes that staying away from drugs of abuse completely is the best approach to fighting addiction, but that if they are addicted, they lose the ability to help themself and must seek help outside, then I have achieved my purpose for this post. People like you should go and read textbooks and journals: I can't help you :)
Thank you for the errors you have pointed out. I will look over them and correct where necessary. I am glad you found the first part funny. I did too. All the best :)
Lol all the best man. You know you still remain one of my favorite authors. I was actually just contributing as this is my field. Glad you took it in good faith :).
That means a lot. I appreciate the kind words.
