Oh, thank you for your kind comments. As a child, I always wondered what exactly that piece of electronic equipment was used for except for lights during Christmas. I could not imagine that someone would go through the trouble of making the globe silver base and all those tiny strands just to make light for Christmas. It turns out that's what someone did. I was mesmerised by the tiny tips of light and the mechanism for transporting the light from the globe to the tip.

I was reviewing optical fibre when I saw that the strands were somewhat similar to the one we had a children. I search deeper and found that they are one and the same material. I just had to begin with that.
