The first time I read about this technique in agriculture, if it is used more widely we will eliminate famine, why it is not so widespread yet? Is this because of its cost? Or technical difficulties?

    As noted its cost to a great extent limits its implementation. We can say it's technicality in case of local farmers also contributes to its growth.
