Bitcoin Owners Claim 16 Billion Stellar Lumen Cards
The decentralized payment network Stellar has declared Bitcoin-Lumen the last round of Bitcoin-Lumen program, where Bitcoin owners can claim the luminaire for free.
The program, which started in April 2016, accounts for 19 percent of the lumen supply that developers have launched for Bitcoin users only. It is stated that the initial opening of the presented 19 billion lumenders, ending in October 2016, is only 3 billion. Details on the release of the remaining 16 billion will be officially announced on 28 March.
The remaining symbols are worth about $ 16 million.
On June 27, 2017, we will keep these lumens in the hands of those who want them, including the luminaire, during the first gift giving tour.
Communications officer Kim VU;
"Bitcoin was a deep inspiration for Stellar, so when we started this program, the Bitcoin network showed that it was the first time a group of insecure sides had reached a consensus on a common database, and the Bitcoin community influenced my understanding of this technology."
The lumens were initially known as star symbols; the name has changed to avoid mixing both the network and Stellar.org profit-inten- sive organization.
Stellar aims to offer instant international payments at a significantly lower cost than the main alternatives. The newest technology links SWIFT's partner organizations with a similar idea of how it works with price organizations.
"Given the diversity of today's global financial services, this interoperability can significantly reduce global remittance costs by making transactions exceeding national boundaries, currencies and financial institutions more efficient," said Cointelegraph, CEO of Jed McCaleb in December.
On August 27, 2017, the Bitcoin lumen program will be finalized. According to the company's sources, if there is an undesired lumen, it is donated to the operational fund of Stellar.org.
