Steepshot, a disappointment.
Wanting to monetise my images and add to the steem experience, I've been wanting to use steepshot.
After jumping through hoops and finally tracking down the APK (despite links pointing to Google Play - all I ever got was 'item not found'), I try this alternative to Instagram.
Except, all it ever does is crash.
Frustrating is an understatement.
Searching for help, I find forums discussing the crashes, but, over a year ago! So much for development eh!
Wanting to report my problem I come across another user who has been told that he has to fulfill all sorts of things before they can/will help.
Sod that for a game of soldiers!
Ok, what about updates? In a space of a year there must be an update...
Yes! There is.
Going to the steepshot page and clicking on the Google play link and... 'item not found' AGAIN!!!
So, is steepshot worth it? Does it fulfill the hype and promises of being better than Instagram?
I'll never know because the bloody thing doesn't work!
By all means, try it for yourselves but just make sure that you have the patience of a saint and don't mind wasting time and bandwidth.

Try appics! I like it but finally just waiting for an ar, vr app. The only one i can really appreciate so far for a mobile phone is partiko.

So appics is only available on an app called testflight in order to test it i guess. Once you have downloaded testflight you can test the various releases of appics. Personally i really just enjoy partiko on the go as a mobile dapp, and use a browser to engage with steem when blogging. For the power contained in this blockchain its so underrated. Dtube, dsound, crowify, actifit etc. i am sure there is so much more to come. As everything is only still in its infancy i am excited to see whats coming. Many came, left and some even just started posting again recently. Steems inevitable power to drive a community of producers and curators drives creativity in a way we never will see in conventional social media.

I've used Steepshot for quite some time but eventually stopped. It takes 15% of your payouts and it's (excuse my language) total shit :)

I think your honesty is appreciated. After all steem is a great community. I was over excited about steepshot and then stopped using it for the same reason. I hope they will do an update.
