For roman catholic devotees in the Philippines, it is believed that lighting a candle would foster life success. I went to Sto Nino church in the province of Cebu which happened to be the oldest church in town. There are women selling colorful candles. The colors of the candle have distinct meaning. The color blue is for travel and career, yellow for health, red for love and green for success.
